Welcome to Keep Talking Services
Welcome to Keep Talking Services, your dedicated telephone befriending service committed to providing support to individuals grappling with loneliness and often experiencing poor mental health.
Our volunteers are exclusively health and social care students.
Originating from the initiative of a mental health nursing student during the national COVID-19 lockdown, our services have since evolved into a registered charity, extending our reach to hundreds of clients across our local district.
Our mission is clear – to forge a better-connected society through the transformative power of befriending.
We frequently receive inquiries from students wondering if their field of study makes them eligible to apply. The answer is simple: drop us an email!
We're always delighted to engage with students, discuss their eligibility, and explore how they can contribute to our cause, making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Join us as we keep the conversation going and make a positive impact in our community.
We extend a warm welcome to ALL health and social care students to join us in making a positive impact on the well-being of others, with a primary focus on reducing loneliness.

By becoming part of our team, students not only have the chance to brighten someone's day but also reap numerous benefits. Engaging in this meaningful work provides students with a newfound sense of confidence, a significant boost in communication skills, and access to unique training opportunities that may not be readily available in their current practice. Join us in creating a supportive community where everyone can thrive.
